Microwave Mixers
We offer a wide variety of microwave mixers available in capacity sizes from 1.5 ft³ to 400 ft³. These horizontal mixing vessels have large rotating paddles that agitate, fluidize and blend your product as microwaves are applied. These systems are especially efficient at processing powders, pellets and slurries. This combination of technologies saves time in processing, money in reduced capital equipment costs and valuable factory floor space. We have an in-house test lab and we welcome companies to test their products in our microwave mixing and drying systems.
Potent Combination
These mixers do an excellent job at effectively heating, cooking or drying your product, more so than conventional conduction, convection, or direct injection systems. There are also other added benefits of mixing while microwaving such as extremely consistent and even heating. The blender's fluidization action assures homogeneous mixes independent of large range of particle size, shape, or density. It is also extremely gentle with fragile ingredients.
- Fast Process Times
- Homogenized Mixing
- Uniform Heat Distribution
- Highly Accurate Temperature Control
- Higher Energy Efficiency
- Easy to Maintain and Operate
Customized Solutions
These microwave mixers are made to order and can be sized according to your needs. They are easily loaded and unloaded with a large top door and a pneumatic door or valve on the bottom depending on the consistency of your material.
These units can be fastened to the floor or equipped with casters to allow easy moving inside your facility. These mixers can also be equipped with a magnetron or solid-state based microwave generator which allows for very precise power control. The advanced microwave generators are scalable and easy to operate. These systems also can come equipped with RTD temperature probes to accurately monitor and record temperature while processing. The temperature readings can also be used in a feedback loop to maintain temperatures for a given amount of time or ensure a certain temperature is reached or not exceeded. These systems can also come equipped to pull a partial vacuum to help lower drying temperatures and speed drying rates.
Applications:
This technology is especially suitable for heat-sensitive products where aroma, color, nutrition, consistency, and other critical characteristics must be maintained such as:
- Biomass
- Chemicals
- Coffee
- Herbs, botanicals and spices
- High-end plastics and polymers
- Lithium-ion powders
- Minerals
- Nutraceuticals
- Pharmaceuticals
- Powders and pellets
