High Temperature Heating
What is High Temperature Heating?
We consider high temperature heating applications anything above 300 Celcius. This is the temperature most low dielectric thermoplastics we often use for material supports start to melt. Ceramics, alumina, graphite or quarts are common replacements.
Why use Microwaves for High Temperature Heating Applications?
In many cases, microwaves can greatly increase the speed of traditional high temperature processes. Cellencor has a wide range of experience in deploying microwaves for novel processes. Another advantage microwaves have in these high temperature heating applications is the absence of combustion byproducts. Microwaves are used to in many different high temperature applications including:
- Sintering
- Smelting
- Thermal decomposition
- Pyrolysis
- Welding
