Our Mission
Our mission is to provide microwave solutions that save energy, increase quality and maximize production rates using extensive knowledge of both microwave theory and real-world experience in the design, construction, and installation of high-power microwave systems.
Cellencor provides products and services that enable companies across many industries to take advantage of the remarkable and unique capabilities of microwave heating. We have helped many companies achieve superior improvements in performance, throughput, and quality in new or upgraded manufacturing processes. Some of the industries we serve include advanced materials, food production, agriculture, oil and gas, and biofuels.
Our clients benefit from our technical staff’s multidiscipline knowledge and experience in microwave engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and biosciences. We extensively utilize state-of-the-art software tools including 3D computer-aided design, electromagnetic and thermal simulation, and electronic design automation.
History
Cellencor was founded in 2007 as an offshoot of research in high-power microwave processes for biofuels at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. In 2012 we relocated to suburban Des Moines. Since our founding, we have designed and installed multiple megawatts of microwave power for a long list of clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational companies. In 2015, we started designing and engineering solid-state microwave generators. In 2019, Cellencor partnered with Crescend Technologies from Schaumburg, Illinois to manufacture the PTL and PTS series of solid-state microwave generators.
